Title: The GuitarGym-Orbea team
The GuitarGym-Orbea team welcomes Pro Bike Fit as a sponsor.
Pro Bike Fit will be the official bike positioning consultants to the team. The hope is that with the skills of Pro Bike fit, and the impressive Retül equipment they use, we can see some tangible power gains through position optimisation.

The University of Queensland Cycling Club (UQCC) has produced many elite cyclists since its inception in the early 1980s. The Guitar Gym – Orbea Elite Men’s Racing Team is intended to provide an opportunity for club members who are racing at the highest level of local competition to advance their cycling careers.
The team comprises experienced and young riders, who are current members of UQCC, racing at an open A-grade level and committed to racing the full season of major races in Queensland, as well as several National Series races. It is intended to act as a development ground for elite riders and to encourage riders who reach the highest level of competition to remain members of UQCC for as long as practical, to provide inspiration to other aspiring riders, and to raise the profile and reputation of the club.
By its nature, the UQCC has a membership of individuals who are either full-time members of the workforce, or full-time students. It can be difficult to compete in Elite Men’s A-grade where many cyclists do not work full-time, placing sport as their highest priority. This team is intended to encourage and assist its riders in competing at that level whilst maintaining focus on life balance, including family, study, and career. Our riders have committed to a code of conduct ensuring that they are committed not just to their results but also to the club, the sport and the community in general.
